Early plans for the year ahead 2014

As usual we will be exhibiting the Miracle of Life Models at the Multi-Cultural Festival in the city on Sunday  9 February, 2014.  Models are always the highlight of our display. Pro-life literature will be available.  You would be welcome to attend our stall as a visitor or as a volunteer.

Abortions are conducted in the clinic at the ACT Health Building.

Serious consideration is being given to joining in the International 40 days for Life campaign during Lent. It has been proposed that we should try to increase the presence of pro-life people outside the ACT Health Building in Civic during Lent.  Lent is a traditional time of prayer and fasting.  Ash Wednesday is 5 March and then Lent continues until Holy Thursday 17 April.  For the past sixteen years a number of people have met each Friday to pray the Life Rosary between 8 and 9am.  Can we extend this commitment for the 6 weeks of Lent?

The ACTRTLA encourages all people to pray about this visible commitment. Is it possible to have a presence outside the ACT Health Building every week day from 8 am to 2pm?

People would meet to pray either together or silently during this period. Pro-life literature would be available for passers-by.

Steven Mosher speaking in Canberra on the use of Australian taxpayer’s money in promoting population control overseas

Steven Mosher is an internationally recognised author, speaker, and president of the US-based Population Research Institute.

In 1979, he was the first American social scientist to be invited by the Chinese government into mainland China. During his time there, he observed the implications of China’s strict family planning regime, particularly the forced abortions in accordance with China’s “one-child policy,” which still exists today.

Steven will be speaking in Canberra on “Is Australia Exporting the Culture of Death”, looking at the use of Australian taxpayer’s money to fund population control programs overseas.

Steven will also provide a look at his experiences in China after the Cultural Revolution and his travels to many countries since then.
